Laurie Lee grew up in the West and was actively involved in the eventful life on the ranch. Her mother encouraged her to pursue art, and it was a combination of the inspiration provided by experiencing western living and the encouragement from her mother which started Laurie Lee on the trail to her now successful career as an artist of western artwork.

Laurie Lee's artwork presents an authentic glimpse of life in the West, whether it be the energy of a cattle drive, the peacefulness of life on the plains, or the specialness of the bond between horse and rider. Her poignant use of lighting in her paintings effectively communicates the mood of each scene.

Lee's artwork has appeared in several well-known western and equine publications, including Western Horseman, Equine Images, and Art of the West. She has also shown in many western art shows, such as the Charlie Russell Art Museum's Western Art Auction in Montana and the National Wildlife Museum's Western Visions Show in Wyoming.
